Come visit my new and improved site!
www.elledeegee.net

Will hopefully be adding more soon and fixing up some of the menus and such but everything about my art and where to buy it is there and easy to find.

Missing having a skin but I don't come here enough to warrant a membership anymore.

Been doing alot more writing than artwork lately. Just had this need to express myself in words and apparently the show White Collar. I have written close to SIXTY fan fics based off that show. It all started in September of 2009 when I discovered Dresden Files on Hulu, started to read the books and thought I could do some fan fics. Then I briefly saw Matt Bomer as Bryce Larkin on Chuck when he was leaving the show. I fell in love, looked him up and found out WOW... he is a good looking guy and he was on a new show called White Collar. I caught up and ended up watching it from then on. He's not only a great looking guy (like duh!) but he's a good actor, nice person (met him in person) and sings. :faint: :bounce:  I also met Tim Dekay, Marsha Thomason, Sharif Atkins, and Willie Garson. Plus at the studio sets we met Jeff King, the co-producer. Sweeties all of them and the location crew. Everyone was so kind and nice to us.

So yeah, I am obsessed. The whole cast and crew of White Collar rocks. I went to NYC with a group of forum friends from the official USA White Collar forum site and we met up in NYC to meet the cast and crew, see a location shoot on the street and see the stages. We also visited some of the street scenes from other episodes and seasons and met the cast and crew. I got all but a few autographs which I hope to get in the future. Anyone who wants to see my pics, let me know and I'll send you the link. :whisper:

That was my summer. I am still in awe when I watch the show because I walked through and sat on those sets. :excited: It was fun rummaging through the sets but I wish I'd opened more things. I had fun digging around and taking pics. :bounce: :excited: :camera:

Seems like things are about the same around DA but I don't come much. Just wanted to post that sketch I just did. Demo thing but thought it was worthy of showing. Soon as I get a more reliable computer (old one is finally acting its age) I should be doing more.

Just checking in after a whole year of not doing it.

Nothing new really. I'm a year older and I've been not loading new art (have made some) because I got hooked on the show White Collar and I was already writing fan fics for Dresden Files up till that show caught me. Now I'm on my 47th fan fiction story for White Collar. In the middle of one right now. :excited:

Also planning a trip to NYC this Summer to see some other fans I met online who want to visit the White Collar filming locations and hopefully see the stars doing a live filming. We're hoping but my biggest pitfall right now is having enough cash for the hotel. :faint: They are all so expensive and the not so expensive ones are ugly, don't have wi-fi and have bad reviews to boot. :fear:

I've made some new art for my shops if you wanna check out my two big shops:

Blue Girl Mercado @ GCU - www.greetingcarduniverse.com/e…

Blue Girl Zazzle @ Zazzle - www.zazzle.com/elledeegee*

I'm also watching Being Human and having pleasure overload from TCM (Turner Classic Movies) as they show some of my faves. I've been recording off there like mad and getting some great movies like Random Harvest, Lost Horizon, Love in the Afternoon and A Room with a View. Classics and oh so fun to watch. Just recorded and watched "My Man Godfrey" the other night. Great funny screw ball comedy from the 30s. Has William Powell and Carole Lombard, two of my faves.

Guess that's it for now. You can always visit my main site and contact me from there.

Sigh!

Just been kind of off doing other things. Been bad about doing more than checking in off and on. No new art work. Sorries.

My big obsession right now while waiting for Dresden Files books is the show "White Collar." The guy there is just absolutely HOT. Been looking up all I can about him. He's originally from TX and shares the last name of a friend of my dad's which makes me wonder (and kind of hope) maybe they could be related. Would make it easier to say "hey I think I know your uncle, 2nd cousin... etc" :giggle: If they were related it would give me an in I guess but oh well... probably they aren't. :cries:

Anyhow, take a look at his pic here if you want something nice to look at (Definitely Safe for Work, home, your iphone etc ;) )

So did a lot of other people but heck... I made it! :boogie:

I finished my story I think although it may need some tweaking. I finished it while visiting the folks for Thanksgiving. Man I am happy that I own a laptop. :excited: I wouldn't have finished otherwise. :faint:

I will ask those that volunteered to read my story to read it soon.

Thanksgiving soon...

I've been NaNoWriMo-ing the past 3 or so weeks and I'm a good 3 or so days ahead of myself. I'm up to 38K now and have to hit 50K in words by the end of the month so I think I'm doing pretty good. I didn't think I'd have that much to write about. I tend to be wordy with words and chatty and such :blahblah: but when it comes to writing, I tend to be good at it but depending what kind of pressure I'm under when I do it, I can run out of them and go completely blank. :faint:

So yeah... gots me a story in the works. Wondering what I will do with it.

If you wanna beta read, let me know.

Well not literally just like when your folks (ok MY folks) used to say Thunder was really the angels bowling (and getting a strike!) and rain was God tending his garden. :giggle:

Anyhow, we got sprinkled upon by the blessed angels today. Didn't cool us down that much but it helped. Started with a nice overcast cold front sort of breezy thing that made everyone go "WHOA!" :boogie:

Other than that... nothing much new. Just the same old same old. Worked on some artwork but didn't finish anything. Working on so many things I'm getting confuzzled.

I know this is an art site but, I have an apt full of stuff I need to clean out and sort through. I'll be posting things to my newest blog. It's listed here [ elledeegee.wordpress.com ] if you're interested. I only have a couple of things listed at the moment but I hope to list more things soon.

I'm also going to list some things at my Ebay account soon I hope. I really just want to find good homes for most things but I can't lie... I could use the cash to make sure I have an emergency fund which I currently just barely have.

So let me know if you're looking for something particular. I may just have it in my vast collection of things. :D

Oh yeah... I do buy alot of art related things, anime, comics, manga etc... even action figures and dolls depending on my interests at the time. Some are still in packs cause if it was a good deal I may have bought extras. So let me know what you're looking for.

Someone just passed this along to me: [ realchocolate.com ]

If you sign up, they remind you to go back and you have a chance to get a coupon or something for a free chocolate from Mars.

I've been signing up for a lot of free things lately. I get all kinds of coupons, reminders and such for places I go to and off and on they actually give you freebies. For example: My bank had a "sign up and you might get your bill paid by us." Well, I signed up a while back and signed up last yr for this and never won. Then this past Friday I looked at my email and suddenly I see "we picked up your tab!" I looked and it was one of my bigger bills. w00t! So basically I got a credit.

:boogie: :jawdrop: :faint: :boogie:

I'm also been adding more stuff to my Zazzle shop [ www.zazzle.com/elledeegee* ] so go look.

Since I had the chance to use the laminator at work, I realize I really would LOVE to get one of my own once I get my apt all cleaned up and neat.

Other than that... sold 100 of my Year of the Ox [ tinyurl.com/le2oru ] from my GCU shop [ www.greetingcarduniverse.com/e… ]

More updates when I get more. :giggle:

So I've been driving it around since Sunday. Runs pretty good. I think it's still under the mentality that my folks own it so it's acting all big and tank-like. I think I can maybe get it to run a bit less like a lumbering turtle but over all... it runs. Plus the AC is much cooler, it has a CD player, cassette player (thank goodness) for my adapter to run my mp3 player and alot of automatic stuff like power windows, locks etc etc. I think I like it. :excited:

I got used to how the other car was but I can get used to this one. Just have to figure out if I can fit my mini trashcan from the other car into this one or get one of those litter bags they sell for cars. I like having a place other than a disposable bag I can put stuff into when I have garbage.

Oh, they have these neat looking water bottles now at Cafepress. If you wanna check out my design, look here: www.cafepress.com/ldg7.3835172… I think it came out pretty nice. I'm tempted to make one up for my dad who's a water hound. He's always running around on his bike or jogging or something. He's very active.

Other than that... got paid from Zazzle again. :excited: and I think I get a bit from Greeting Card Universe soon too! :excited: So I'm getting some cash atleast here and there from my art. :gallery:

That's about it... going to see ST today. :sprint:

I was getting sick of taking three Ibuprofen a day and my antibiotic twice a day and forgot to take them when I should have. Now I have all these aches and pains so I guess it [the ibuprofen]was working after all. Then my car broke down so I didn't bring them to work and couldn't go home for them on my break (took the university shuttle to work.) So now my head is aching and I can't take anything for it cause it might mess with my dosing from the dr of the ibuprofen and the antibiotics. :( My left eye is throbbing and it wasn't before so I guess the ibuprofen was helping some of my inflammations... might have to see the eye dr if this keeps up. :cries:

Anyhow... yeah... been one heck of a day. My car has incontinence. I was filling the radiator directly up with fluid and it was peeing it out the other side. :rage: So I can't drive it if it's emptying out it's bowels that quickly. Just one more day and I get the old van from my folks. It's newer and in semi-better shape than this one so I should be ok for a bit. My folks never wear out their cars with the exception of a truck my dad clings to. LOL And it still runs! :omg:

So yeah... just trying to deal with stuff. Taking Friday off so the folks can come and pick me up and take me home so I can get the old van. I also need to clean a bit before they come. My apt looks like crap. :fear: Don't feel like cleaning but I need to.

Other than that... nothing much.

I found this while looking up "Japanese scrapbooking" online. It's an American site far as I can tell (could be Canadian too but I forget)... anyhow... it's called "Spoonflower."

You can for now make your own fabric by submitting designs they will print out for your onto real live fabric! Great for a crafter who wants to use their own original design. It seems relatively affordable for the pricing. You can click here to see it: [ www.spoonflower.com ]

:poke: E-derby
:poke: crazed-fangirl

In the future they hope to let people sell their designs to others. I hope so too. :excited: I put in a few designs here: [ www.spoonflower.com/profiles/e… ]

Check it out! :D

I found this site while looking for places to draw for free online.
It's called "drawing day.org" and they initiate a full scale drawing project or group collaboration every year. This year's event will be on June 6th.

For more info, click here: [ www.drawingday.org/ ]

Would be a fun thing for DA or even the Myst group to be a part of. :D
